Al-Mahhra Security Committee approves action against accused of attempted assassination of governor


The security committee in al-Mahra province (Far East Yemen) has approved security measures against those accused of trying to assassinate Governor Rajeh Bakrit, referring to clashes between militants of the Governor and the members of "Labib " security point a few days ago.

On Saturday evening, the security Committee held a special meeting in the presence of the commander of the Arab coalition in the province, "to see the repercussions of the shooting of the governor's convoy according to Al-Mahhra media site of the local authority."

The Committee stressed that it would not allow any armed gatherings and processions that did not belong to the state, and that the security services would strike against the outlaws and those who cooperated or were concealing them.

The province of Al-Mahra has been living for several months, tension between the local authority and tribal groups and blocs opposing the presence of Saudi forces in the province to develop clashes that caused casualties.
