Seizure of 8 tons of hashish and explosives in a border directorate with Saudi Arabia


A force from the first military zone, backed by security services and the Arab coalition Forces, seized a large number of explosives and drugs in the area of the Hazi district of Zamakh and Menukh, a desert border in Hadramawt province in the eastern part of the country.

The force raided a building with three warehouses with a very large amount of narcotics and explosives in an intelligence operation, according to a military source of the Yemeni news agency Saba.

The source stated that during the raid, two elements were arrested, in addition to the seizure of 8 tons of hashish, Captagon tablets and tramadol.

The source noted that a quantity of TNT, dynamite, explosive paste, quality weapons and counterfeit amounts of 5,000 Yemeni riyals issued by the Houthi militia were seized.

This is the largest seizure of the first region in a border area with Saudi Arabia.

The forces of the first military region announced the arrest of dangerous elements in a raid in the Directorate of Qatan and Wadi Hadramawt.
